Seven in a jam as NRL, AFL TV rights deals loom

The Australian reported on the weekend that the NRL is wanting to move at least one game on a Saturday to Free to air television, and Fox apparently wants to take another AFL game from Free to air tv. Fox’s media rights with the AFL are being negotiated by former AFL and FFA executive Ben Buckley. Nines negotiations with the NRL are apparently being run by former AFL lawyer Jeff Browne. Credit Suisse CEO John Knox will advise the NRL on its media rights negotiations.
