Bathurst delivers for Seven and Foxtel

Bathurst 1000 takes pole position

Reaches 4.82 million TV, 299,000 on 7plus

Audience up year-on-year, live streaming up 167%

The Seven Network’s coverage of the Repco Bathurst 1000 from Mount Panorama was a hit with television and BVOD audiences yesterday, with over 4.82 million people watching the live racing action on Channel 7 and 7mate, and a further 299,000 on 7plus.

Seven’s live and free coverage of the high-octane race averaged 1.36 million total viewers nationally, including 68,000 on 7plus, as Shane van Gisbergen claimed his second Bathurst 1000 title, alongside co-driver, Garth Tander, in the final Supercars Championship year featuring the iconic Holden Commodore.

The action from Mount Panorama dominated its timeslot in total people, 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s, with the Race average broadcast audience up 6% on 2021 in total people.

The Podium event averaged 1.89 million viewers, including 94,000 on 7plus, and was up 38% on 2021.

On 7plus, more than 43.6 million minutes of the race were streamed, up 78% on 2021, with 7plus winning an overall 52.3% share of live BVOD streaming yesterday.

  • BVOD viewing up 125.5% in total people on 2021, up 122.2% in 25 to 54s
  • 76.4% commercial audience share in total people
  • 85.1% commercial audience share in men 25 to 54
  • Seven delivered 79.4% of the total Race audience on Sunday

  • 7plus streamed 33.1 million minutes of Supercars on Sunday
  • BVOD audience up 78% on 2021
  • 7plus had a dominant 62% commercial share in live streaming on Sunday and 52% in BVOD
