A Brief Guide to watching the Summer Sports

AFLW

Every AFLW game will be broadcast live, with all finals televised on both free to air and Foxtel.
Seven will broadcast three home-and-away games per round.
Fox will broadcast every game of each round.
All games will be streamable live on Seven and Foxtel’s digital platforms, as well as the AFLW Live App.

Basketball

NBA. The US league will be seen on free to air television via SBS, which will broadcast two live, regular season NBA games per week in HD on SBS VICELAND and streamed live via SBS On Demand. ESPN will air 190 regular season games and the NBA Finals. ESPN is carried on Foxtel and Fetch services (including Optus Sport)
NBL. The Australian league will be shown on free to air television via SBS and on pay tv on ESPN. 67 games will be broadcast on SBS VICELAND (Generally Saturday and Sunday afternoon, with other games on ESPN) and all 126 games available live and free on streaming platform SBS On Demand.
WNBA. SBS will broadcast one live WNBA game per week on SBS VICELAND and SBS On Demand throughout the WNBA regular season and a selection of games from the first three rounds of the WNBA playoffs.
WNBL. One match a week on Foxsports, remaining games will be streamed through the league and club websites. ie. wnbl.basketball.

Cricket

Seven will broadcast all men’s Test matches and all women’s internationals as well as 43 Big Bash League and 23 Women’s BBL games.
Fox Sports will also show the matches that will be broadcast on free-to-air by Seven – all men’s Tests, all women’s internationals, the 43 BBL matches and 23 WBBL games – as part of a deal that includes a dedicated Fox Sports cricket channel.
The 36 WBBL games not shown on Seven and Fox Sports will be live streamed on Cricket Network through cricket.com.au and the CA Live App.
Cricket Network will also offer exclusive broadcast-quality streaming of other matches not shown on Seven or Fox Sports, including some international tour matches as well as non-broadcast JLT Sheffield Shield and JLT One-Day Cup games.
Fox Sports will broadcast the Shield final and 13 One-Day Cup games as well as some international tour matches.
All matches from the 2019-20 Sheffield Shield season can be live streamed for free on cricket.com.au, the CA Live app as well as Apple TV.

Hockey

Hockey One will have its home-and-away matches live streamed on Kayo Sports, while Fox Sports will televise all finals matches of the new league

Soccer

The ABC will show the 5.30pm Saturday A-league game live on the ABCs main channel and will screen delayed broadcasts of one elimination final, one semi final and the grand final.
Fox Sports will also continue to broadcast all Hyundai A-League, Westfield W-League, Caltex Socceroos and Westfield Matildas matches live via Foxtel and streaming service Kayo Sports.
The ABC will also broadcast every Caltex Socceroos match to which Fox Sports on Foxtel carries rights.
The ABC will also show the Westfield W-League 2019/20 season and the entire Westfield W-League 2020 Finals Series
Matildas international friendlies against Chile at Bankwest Stadium on Saturday, 9 November, and Coopers Stadium Tuesday, 12 November will be broadcast live on ABC along with next year’s Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Asian Qualifiers.
The EPL will be broadcast exclusively on Optus Sport until 2022.
Most other football programming is shown on either Optus Sport, or through BeIN sport (available on foxtel and fetch services). the NWSL is available on ESPN.

Tennis

The Australian Open will be shown on Channel Nine. This includes the Australian Open in Melbourne as well as the lead-up tournaments around Australia – the Hopman Cup in Perth and the Brisbane, Sydney and Hobart Internationals.
