Brisbane Roar chairman Chris Fong jets out to meet Indonesian owners over club’s future

With the Brisbane Roar looking down the barrel of a 2.2 million dollar loss, Chris Fong has flown to meet the owners for an indication of the clubs future after News Limited revealed that the club is also understood to be behind in Suncorp Stadium rental payments, as well as catering and agents’ fees, while The Coffee Club will reconsider its annual $650,000 major sponsorship when the current deal ends on June 30.

A Reuters report from October last year stated the Bakrie Group had an $US8 billion ($A9.905 billion) debt.
