In the AFL, the Demons took on the Dockers in front of 6,109 at Traeger Park in Alice Springs, and later the Suns faced down the Bombres in front of 21,759 at People First Stadium on the Gold Coast.

In the NRL, the lone Sunday game saw the Roosters take on the Cowboys in front of 13,811 at Allianz Stadium in Sydney. The match rated 547,000 on Nine (49,000 BVOD) with a reach of 1.264 million.
Nines coverage of the French Open continued through the Night session of Day 8 which rated 124,000 on Nine, with a reach of 588,000.
